Terms in plain language.

These terms apply to every Jern Cloud workspace, on trial or on a paid pilot. A pilot order can add commercial details and controls for a specific team. If the order and this page disagree, the order wins.

Early service: Jern Cloud is an early commercial service. Do not use it for workloads that require certifications, contractual controls, or availability commitments that are not written into your pilot order.

The service

Jern Cloud runs the open-source Jern runtime in sessions on isolated machines against GitHub repositories you connect, under the policy those repositories or your workspace define, and delivers the result as pull requests. It includes the dashboard, the inference gateway, evidence storage, usage metering, and workspace administration. You administer your own repositories, branch protection, review rules, and, if you choose to bring one, your model provider account.

Trial and paid use

Every new workspace receives a 30-day trial with the full product. When the trial ends, existing sessions remain readable and new work is paused until a pilot order is agreed. Trials may be extended or ended at our discretion. Paid workspaces are billed per workspace per month at the published price, or at the price in a written order where one exists. Jern does not supply or resell model usage: sessions run on the model provider key your workspace adds, and that provider bills you directly for tokens. A workspace without a key cannot start sessions.

Permitted use

You may use the service only for repositories and organizations you are authorized to administer, and only with content you have the right to process. You may not probe other tenants or the isolation boundary without written permission, interfere with the service, circumvent policy, budget, or rate limits, upload unlawful material, or use the service to violate another party's rights. Coordinated security testing is welcome by prior arrangement through security@jern.ai.

Your responsibilities

You decide what code, prompts, policies, and environment each session may use. You review every pull request before merging it. You protect your default branch, workflows, and policy baseline with your own repository controls. You keep your own backups. Jern does not guarantee that an agent will produce correct, secure, or non-infringing output; the evidence exists so that you can check.

Your content

You own your code, prompts, and the output of your sessions. You grant us the rights needed to run the service for you: to fetch the pinned revision, run the agent, store encrypted evidence, forward prompts to the model provider, and push to the branch the session owns. We do not use your content to train models, and we do not share it except with the processors listed in the privacy notice.

Availability and changes

The service is provided without a service-level agreement unless one is written into your pilot order. We may change features, limits, and prices as the product develops. Changes that materially reduce what an active paid pilot receives are communicated to workspace owners before they take effect, and a pilot may be cancelled in response without penalty for the remaining term.

Confidentiality and data

We treat your non-public information as confidential and use it only to provide, secure, support, and improve the service. The privacy notice describes what we process and for how long. The security page describes the technical boundary and its known limits. On request from a workspace owner we delete the workspace and its data and confirm in writing.

Open source

The Jern runtime is separately licensed under Apache-2.0. These terms govern the hosted service and do not reduce any right granted by that license.

Warranty and liability

The service is provided as is during the trial and pilot phase. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties, and our total liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Ending service

You may stop using the service at any time by uninstalling the GitHub App and asking for deletion. We may suspend or end a workspace immediately for material misuse or security risk, and otherwise at the end of a trial or a paid term. Export what you need before the end; evidence is deleted according to the retention window and on deletion of the workspace.

Contracting entity and law

The contracting entity, governing law, venue, payment terms, and any data-processing terms required in your jurisdiction are stated in your pilot order before payment is accepted. This page is the baseline for every workspace and is not a substitute for those terms.
